(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a suspicious death in the Township of Greater Madawaska.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, just before 6:00 pm, officers responded to a call for service on Lanark Road in Greater Madawaska Township, where one person was located deceased.
Investigators believe this this is an isolated incident with no signs of a broader threat. Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation. Residents of the area can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
