(HORTON TWP., ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 60 in Horton Township, which led to a temporary closure of the highway in both directions from Butler Road to Cotieville Road. The highway has since reopened.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at approximately 4:30 pm, members of the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP responded to a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a car. The driver of the motorcycle, a 57-year-old male from Ottawa, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver and sole occupant of the car was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist attended the scene, alongside emergency crews. The investigation remains ongoing.
