DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER POLICE INVESTIGATION

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) - A driver is facing theft-related charges following an investigation by the Brant County OPP.
On the morning of May 19, 2026, at approximately 9:45 am, officers were called to a church parking lot on Oakland Road in the County of Brant in relation to a parked vehicle.
As a result of the police investigation, police arrested and charged a 42-year-old driver, Andrew STEWART of no fixed address and 32-year-old passenger Anne-Marie MAUNDER of Brantford. The Accused Ann-Marie MAUNDER was charged with the Criminal Code charge of, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada. The Accused Andrew STEWART was charged with the following Criminal Code charges:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada, - Theft of Motor Vehicle, - Possession of Break In Instruments, - Fail to Comply with Probation Order - 2 counts
The accused Ann-Marie MAUNDER was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on 20th August 2026.
The accused Andrew STEWART was not released and was held for Bail Court.
