MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION IN BRANT COUNTY
(BRANT, ON) - In the early hours of the morning December 18, 2025, at approximately 4:05 am, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Brant Road, south of #5 highway in Brant County, Ontario.
Upon arrival on the scene Brant County OPP found a single vehicle had driven off the road and into a hydro pole causing the hydro lines to snap and fall across the roadway, with full hydro power. During the police investigation it was found that the 23-year-old male driver was careless in his driving and was subsequently charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act. Brant Road was closed in both directions from #5 Highway to German School Road. Hydro work trucks were on scene and had the hydro work completed after several hours of work. Brant Road was opened for traffic at 12:45 pm. There were no injuries or other property damage due to this incident.
