(BRANT, ON) - On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 11:10 pm, a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on the 403 Highway West in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately,150 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old driver from Brantford, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed

Speeding - 50 km/h over the posted speed of 60 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
