DRIVER CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING IN BRANT COUNTY

(BRANT, ON) - On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 3:15 pm, a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Pinehurst Road in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.
The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately,135 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old driver from Belle River, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed
- Speeding - 50 km/h over the posted speed of 60 km/h Zone
- Pass - Roadway Not Clear - Approaching Traffic
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
