One Person Charged
(BRANT, ON) - Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following an intimate partner violence investigation in Brant County.
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 7:20 pm, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint regarding an ongoing incident involving two people at a residence in the County of Brant.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old individual from the County of Brant was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following charges:
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm, - Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition, - Pointing a Firearm, - Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, - Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, - Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was Firearm
The accused was held for Bail Court and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, on April 29, 2026, via video.
