(BRANT, ON) - On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm, a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Oakland Road after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling 101 km/h in a posted 50 km/h posted speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male driver from Norfolk has been charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed
  • Speeding - 101 km/h in a 50 km/h Zone
  • Possess Unmarked Cigarettes

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation. A court date has been set for January 6th 2026.
