(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an investigation into threats.
Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Monday, October 9, 2025.
As a result of investigation, Marcel VANOORT, 43-years-old from Tay Valley Township has been charged with:
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - two counts
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 9,2025.
