R.I.D.E CHECK LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE

(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Elmsley Township resident with impaired driving.
Officers while on a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Rideau Ferry Road in Drummond-North Elmsley Township conducted a traffic stop on Sunday, April 26, 2026, just after 10:00 pm
The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Jessie LASCELLE (F), 34 years old, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, June 15, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
