(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) - - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Lanark Highlands Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 7, in Lanark Highlands Township on Sunday, June 15, 2025, just after 3:00 am

The officers arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Andy OAKLEY, 24-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, July 21, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
