INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CASE RESULTS IN CHARGES LAID

(MONTAGUE TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Lanark County OPP officers responded to an address on Monday, August 18, 2025, just before 5:30 pm in Montague Township.
As a result of investigation, police charged a 40-year-old from Montague Township with the following offences:
- Uttering threats
- Transmit an intimate image without consent
- Voyeurism
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition - three counts
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, September 22, 2025.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
