MOTORIST CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving.
Officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling into Perth from Tay Valley Township. Officers located the vehicle on Thursday, May 7, 2026, just before 8:30 pm
The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.
As a result of the investigation, James BOLDT, 39 years old, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Dangerous operation
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, June 15, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
