Replica Firearms Seized / Arrest Warrant to be Issued
(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - Illegal drugs and several replica firearms have been seized in Carleton Place.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation into cocaine trafficking in the area in late 2025.
On Friday, January 30, 2026, officers with CSCU, assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Townline Road East.
Officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, several realistic looking replica firearms, as items typically associated with drug trafficking.
An arrest warrant is being sought for a 40-year-old Beckwith Township resident for drug possession.
The investigation is continuing.
