TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Lanark County OPP received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 15 in Beckwith Township. Officers attended and located the vehicle just after 6:30 pm After speaking with the driver, he was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel GOGOLIN, 35-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Drive vehicle with open container of alcohol
  • Obstructed licence plate

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
