COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch on Glen Tay Road, Tay Valley Township.

Officers attended the area and located vehicle just after 4:00 am After speaking with the female, the driver was arrested and transported to the

Lanark County OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Dayna VANDER KLOET, 46-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, May 4, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
