Investigation Ongoing

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a serious four vehicle collision which has resulted in six injured individuals, three being critical.

Lanark County OPP, Lanark County Paramedic Services and Drummond-North Elmsley Tay Valley Fire Rescue responded to the collision on Highway-7 East of Maberly, just after 3:00 am on Friday August 22, 2025.

The collision involved a transport truck, a pick-up truck and a sport utility vehicle (SUV). All individuals involved are adults.

Lanark County OPP continues to investigate, with assistance from OPP Traffic Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist.

Highway 7 will remain closed between County Rd 36 and County Rd 511 for several hours with detours in place. The investigation is in the early stages and a more detailed release will follow when details are known.
