(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Toronto resident with impaired driving.

On Sunday, February 8, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a business in Perth. Officers located the vehicle just after 12:00 am in the parking lot of another business and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Bilal KAHN, 32-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Drive while suspended

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 9, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
