COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a call from a citizen regarding a male in front of a business being aggressive and then driving erratically just before 7:30 pm Officers attended the scene and located the vehicle a brief time later.
After speaking with the male, the driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Travis CULLEN, 36-years-old, has been charged with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, May 25, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
