INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - Members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have taken an individual in custody following a disturbance in Carleton Place.
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, just after 6:30 am, officers were dispatched to reports of an individual carrying a knife and knocking on the doors of several residences in the area of Pattie Drive and Cram Street.
Upon arrival, police located a male matching the suspect’s description and placed him into custody. Two knives and a brick were seized from the individual at the scene.
Tyler WARK, 43-years-old of Smiths Falls, has been charged with:
- Causing a disturbance
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unlawfully in a dwelling
- Mischief
- Fail to comply with probation order - two counts
The accused remains in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Friday, April 10, 2026.
