BREAK AND ENTER LEADS TO ARREST

(ESSEX, ON) - An individual is facing charges following a Break and Enter.
On March 28, 2026, members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and West Region OPP Canine Unit, were called to a report of a Break and Enter to an abandoned building.
Matthew MELEG, 45-year-old of Essex has been charged with the following offences:
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession Break In Instruments
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x 2
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor, on June 25, 2026, to answer to the charges.
