OPP INVESTIGATING ROBBERY IN KINGSVILLE

(KINGSVILLE, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex Crime Unit are investigating a robbery occurring in Kingsville.
On Saturday January 24, 2026, at approximately 10:33 pm, two unknown individuals armed with a handgun and an edged weapon robbed a person stopped in his vehicle on Road 5, east of Graham Side Road in Kingsville.
The suspects arrived in a dark colored pick-up truck and stole the victim’s cash and debit card.
They fled the scene after setting the victims vehicle on fire.
Suspect information is as follows:
- Suspect 1 - believed to be “darker skinned male”, wearing black clothing (pants, jacket, gloves, balaclava), carrying an edged weapon
- Suspect 2 - “darker skinned person”, wearing black clothing (pants, jacket, gloves, balaclava), carrying what appeared to be a black handgun
The investigation is ongoing and there is not believed to be a threat to public safety as investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
There were no injuries.
