OPP CHARGE INDIVIDUAL FOR BREACHING RELEASE CONDITIONS

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex County Detachment Offender Management Apprehension Program (OMAP) have arrested and charged an individual for violating court-ordered release conditions.
On June 1, 2026, members of the Essex County OPP OMAP team arrested a 20-year-old male from Essex County who had previously been charged with offences including: Utter Threat to Cause Bodily Harm, Breach of Undertaking (two counts), Breach of Recognizance (two counts), and Criminal Harassment and was subsequently released on bail with conditions.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, the accused was charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court - Section 145(5)(a)
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody.
