ESSEX OPP INVESTIGATING FIRE AT COMMERCIAL PROPERTY

(COMBER, ON) - Members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lakeshore Detachment, are investigating a fire at a commercial property in the community of Comber.
On March 29, 2026, at approximately 12:58 am, members of the Essex County OPP, along with Lakeshore Fire Department, responded to a report of a commercial structure fire on Industrial Drive in Comber.
There were no injuries reported.
The fire has been deemed suspicious. The OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified and is assisting with the investigation.

Police are asking residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review any available security or surveillance footage for suspicious activity around the time of the incident. Any relevant information may assist investigators.
