VEHICLE IN DITCH LEADS TO CHARGES

(LAKESHORE, ON) - A driver has been charged following a single vehicle discovered in a ditch in Lakeshore.
At approximately 4:28 am on January 29, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single vehicle in the ditch on County Road 42 at Golfview Dr. in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
Alan STANDAERT, 58-years-old of Lakeshore was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on March 13, 2026, to answer to the charge.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment waas initiated for the driver as per statue.
