Investigation complete, death was non-suspicious
(TECUMSEH, ON) - Police assisted in a death investigation in Tecumseh.
On Thursday April 23, 2026, at approximately 5:30 pm members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Chornoby Crescent to assist Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Tecumseh Fire and Rescue with a three-year-old who was found unresponsive.
Life saving measures were administered unsuccessfully.
The Essex County OPP Crime Unit assisted in an investigation conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner.
The investigation is now complete, and the death was found to be non-suspicious.
