COLLISION LEADS TO CHARGES

(LEAMINGTON, ON) - A driver has been charged following a collision in Leamington.
At approximately 1:37 am on January 17, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single vehicle collision on County Road 31 in the Municipality of Leamington.
Dominikue LOVETT, 21-years-old of Stoney Point was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic act offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
- Fail to produce permit
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on February 26, 2026, to answer to the charges.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
