TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEVERAL CHARGES

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) - A driver has been charged following a traffic stop in Windsor.
At approximately 12:53 am on May 18, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic violation on Lauzon Parkway near South Service Road East in the City of Windsor.
Sean LOWDERMILK, 41-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, and Liquor Licence and Control Act offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Red light - proceed before green
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Fail to surrender insurance card
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on July 2, 2026, to answer to the charges.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated for both drivers as per statute.
