OPP INVESTIGATING FRAUD RELATED TO RECREATIONAL VEHICLE SALES

(LAKESHORE, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lakeshore Detachment is currently investigating reports of fraud involving the sale of recreational vehicles (RVs) through a business located in the 20000 block of County Road 42, in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
Police have received several complaints from victims who reported that they had placed their recreational vehicles for sale on consignment or stored their RV’s for the winter with the business. When the victims when to retrieve their RV’s they were no longer on the property.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Essex County OPP Crime Unit, and police continue to gather information from affected individuals.
