TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEVERAL CHARGES

(KINGSVILLE, ON) - One individual has been charged following a traffic stop in Kingsville.
On April 7, 2026, at approximately 00:13 am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a vehicle stop on Queens Valley Dr., in the Town of Kingsville.
Owen Lee Oscar MCCOMBS, an 18-year-old resident of Leamington was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC), Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Cannabis Control Act (CCA) offences:
- Operation while Impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Drive Motor Vehicle, fail to display two plates
- Novice Driver - presence of drug
- Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis readily available
A 90 day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on May 14, 2026, to answer to the charges.
