TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEVERAL CHARGES

(KINGSVILLE, ON) - One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Kingsville.
On April 19, 2026, at approximately 1:55 am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 3 near County Road 31 in the Town of Kingsville.
Dean DICKSON, 35-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
- Speeding 1 - 49 Km/h over posted limit
- Drive without proper headlights - motor vehicle
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on June 2, 2026, to answer to the charges.
