DRIVER CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Corunna resident has been charged following a traffic stop in St. Clair Township.
On March 28, 2026, shortly after 11:10 pm, a member of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol when a vehicle was observed failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Mandaumin Road and Plank Road. The vehicle was also determined to be driving in excess of 140 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated Mandaumin Road.
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old of Corunna has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - perform Stunt - excessive Speed
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
- Disobey stop sign - fail to stop
- Obstruct plate
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Sarnia on May 14, 2026.
