POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A BREAK-IN

Seeking Public Assistance

(PETROLIA, ON) - Members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a break-in at a local business and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible.

On May 15, 2026, at approximately 1:10 am members of the Lambton County OPP were dispatched to a business on Petrolia Line, in the Town of Petrolia, for a report of a break and enter.

The investigation revealed that two unknown individuals gained entry to the business shortly after 1:00 am During this time a quantity of undetermined goods were stolen.

Police are looking to identify the suspect involved in the incident. Descriptions provided are as follows:

Suspect one:

  • White male
  • Slim build
  • Approximately 5’7”-5’11” tall
  • 16-19 years of age
  • Wearing a black and white Nike hoodie, with strings, with a Nike check mark across the chest of the body, white Adidas shoes, black ball cap, brown Camouflage face mask, black track pants, oversized black and white gloves with white palm

Suspect two:

  • White male
  • Approximately 5’5”-5’9”
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown hair
  • 14-17 years of age
  • Blue under armour backpack, with large white Under Armour logo on the center of the bag, brown hoodie, light grey sweatpants, blue gloves

The investigation remains ongoing.
