TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(GRAND BEND, ON) - A traffic complaint has resulted in the arrest of an impaired driver.
On May 16, 2026, at approximately 5:20 pm, members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver in Grand Bend.
Police located the vehicle on Ontario Street South, where a traffic stop was conducted.
As a result of the investigation, Adrian STRONG, 18-year-old from Lasalle, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, the Liquor Licence and Control Act, and the Cannabis Control Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
- Having care or control of motor vehicle with liquor in open baggage
- Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis in open baggage (two counts)
The accused has been released from police custody is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 18, 2026, in the City of Sarnia.
