TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) - A 23-year-old from Sarnia is facing charges after an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team member initiated a traffic stop in St. Clair Township.
On April 11, 2026, at approximately 3:20 pm, the OPP West-Region TIME team was conducting proactive traffic enforcement within St. Clair Township and initiated a traffic stop on Kimball Road.
As a result of the investigation, Madison MARCHAND-DODGE, 23-years-old, of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:
- Operation while Impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit
- Fail to surrender insurance card
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on May 5, 2026.
