TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) - An individual from Lambton Shores is facing impaired driving-related charges following a traffic complainant in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.
On May 10, 2026, shortly after 9:30 pm, members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint on Townsend Line in Lambton Shores.
As a result of the investigation, Jeffery HATHAWAY 66-years-old, of Lambton Shores, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on June 22, 2026.
