TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SARNIA, ON) - A traffic complaint has led to an individual being arrested for impaired driving.

On January 22, 2026, just after 7:00 pm, the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver on Kimball Road in St. Clair Township.

Police located the involved vehicle on Plank Road in the City of Sarnia, where a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result of the investigation, Addison PETERS, a 19-year-old of Chatham, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 11, 2026, in Sarnia.
