OPP INVESTIGATING THEFTS FROM VEHICLES IN PETROLIA

(PETROLIA, ON) - Police are investigating thefts from vehicles and several attempted thefts that occurred in Petrolia.
The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating multiple related occurrences involving two thefts from vehicles and several other attempted thefts from vehicles that took place in the early morning hours of January 2, 2026.
It was determined that between 12:00 am and 3:00 am, an unknown individual attended several residential properties and attempted to enter parked vehicles. The incidents occurred at addresses on Mulberry Place, Lasalle Line, Rosemount Drive, and Kettle Lane.
Police believe the occurrences are connected and involve the same suspect and vehicle, described as a 2014 white Dodge Durango.
The suspect is described as a male, tall with a thin build, wearing an orange/brown jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.
