TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) - An individual is facing charges following a traffic stop in Plympton-Wyoming.
On May 24, 2026, just before 3:00 am, members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol when they initiated a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road near Blue Point Drive.
As a result, Jason GIBBS, 41-year-old of Brights Grove, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on June 15, 2026.
