OPP EXECUTES SEARCH WARRANTS IN LASALLE

Two Individuals Charged

(LASALLE, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of policing partners, have arrested and charged two individuals in the Town of LaSalle as part of an ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, search warrants were executed at a residence on Kassas Street by members of the Lambton, Elgin and Middlesex OPP Crime Units, the Elgin/Middlesex OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team and the LaSalle Police Service.

As a result of the warrants, two individuals were taken into custody without incident.

Andrei VOILEAN, 34 years old of LaSalle, was charged with the following offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, section 91(2) of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, section 117.01(1) CC
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, section 5(2) of the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Trafficking in cocaine, section 5(1) CDSA

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Marielle DIGWEED, 24 years old of LaSalle, was charged with the following offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, section 91(2) CC
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, section 5(2) CDSA

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
