(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) - One person has life threatening injuries after a single motor vehicle collision.
On February 21, 2026, at approximately 5:53 am, members of Walpole Island Police Service, Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with emergency services responded to a single-vehicle collision on Chiefs Road, Walpole Island First Nation.
The driver, a 37-yr-old male from Walpole Island First Nation, was transported by Chatham Kent Emergency Medical Services to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, then later airlifted by Ornge to Victoria Hospital in London.
Chiefs Road was closed for several hours to allow for investigation and has since been reopened.
