BAIL VIOLATION INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DRUG CHARGE

(PEMBROKE, ON) - Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an area resident with Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences after a bail violation investigation.
The investigation began on February 12, 2026, after police received information about a possible bail violation and drug possession. Following an investigation at a residence in Pembroke, police arrested the accused and seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine.
As a result of this incident Dana PEARCE, age 25 of Pembroke, has been charged with the following CC and CDSA offences:
- Failure to comply with release order
- Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 13, 2026.
