DISPUTE IN MADAWASKA VALLEY LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING INVESTIGATION

(MADAWASKA VALLEY, ON) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a dispute between two parties in Madawaska Valley which resulted in one person being charged with multiple offences.
On Monday May 25, 2026, shortly after 8:00 am, officers located one of the individuals involved operating a tractor.
As a result of the investigation, Daniel Trapp, 68-years-old of Madawaska Valley, was charged with the following offences:
- Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
- Mischief - interfere with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 30, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their tractor was impounded for seven days.
