-UPDATE #1- ROBBERY IN PEMBROKE UNDER INVESTIGATION

One person arrested

(PEMBROKE, ON.) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one person in connection to a robbery at a gas station in the City of Pembroke.

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 2:10 am, police responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street West. A female entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from an employee. The employee was not injured, and the person fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigated the robbery with the assistance of the UOV OPP Crime Unit. A suspect was identified and arrested on May 28, 2026, by the OPP West Region Bail Support Team.

Miranda TOBIAS, 32 years old, from Brantford, On, was charged with the following criminal offences;

  • Robbery with a weapon
  • Disguise with intent
  • Fail to comply with Probation order two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on May 29, 2026.
