DRIVER CHARGED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) - A two-vehicle collision in the Township of Laurentian Valley (TLV) has resulted in a driver being charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
On Monday April 20, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision at the intersection of Highway 148 and Greenwood Road. Investigation found that an SUV on Highway 148 attempted to turn onto Greenwood Road resulting in a collision with a passenger car on Greenwood Road.
The driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old from Mansfield, QC, was charged with turn not in safety under the HTA. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
