(PEMBROKE, ON.) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two parties following a traffic stop on Christie St. in the City of Pembroke.

On May 22, 2026, just after 1:00 am, OPP stopped a vehicle after a notification of the ALPR (Automated License Plate Recognition) for a stolen vehicle. Both parties were arrested. The driver of the vehicle was transported to detachment for further testing. Police also seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine as well as Canadian currency.

Taylor HEIN, 39 years old, of Ottawa was charged with three counts of traffick in schedule I substance, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation order.

Nina LANCE, 35 years old, of Ottawa was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, operation while impaired and breach of recognizance. The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

Both accused were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 22, 2026.
