DRUG CHARGES LAID AFTER INVESTIGATION

(PEMBROKE, ON) - A local individual is facing drug possession charges after a break and enter investigation in Pembroke.
On March 8, 2026, at approximately 11:00 pm officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an apartment on Pembroke Street East after a possible break and enter in progress was reported. Police arrested an individual at the scene and suspected methamphetamines and fentanyl were seized. Investigation found that a break and enter had not taken place.
As a result of this incident 25-year-old Blaire TAVERNER of Pembroke has been charged with the following Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance - methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance - fentanyl
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 13, 2026.
