THREE PEOPLE CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OVER THE WEEKEND

(PEMBROKE, ON) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three separate drivers with multiple charges this past weekend.
On May 29, 2026, just before 11:00 pm, OPP received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a hotel on International Dr. in the City of Pembroke. The vehicle was located a short time later. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Whitney MAY, 35 years old, of North Algona-Wilberforce Township has been charged with operation while impaired as well as several other provincial offences. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 13, 2026.
Then just after 11:30 pm, on May 29, 2026, OPP received a report of a collision involving a side by side off road vehicle and a car at the intersection of Black Bay Rd. and Petawawa Blvd. The side by side fled the scene and was located a short time later. As part of that investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized. The driver was then transported to the detachment for further testing.
Jamie TABBERT, 49 years old, of Petawawa has been charged with failure to stop after accident, operation while impaired, public mischief and dangerous operation. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 30, 2026.
During the early morning hours on May 31, 2026, just before 4:00 am, OPP located a vehicle in a parking lot near the Round Lake Rd and Highway 17 intersection. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Jessica LEPINE, 35 years old, of Chapeau has been charged with operation while impaired and possession of a schedule I substance. The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 29, 2026.
The accused individuals had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicles towed and impounded for seven days.
