OPP COMMUNITY STREET CRIME UNIT LOCATES WANTED INDIVIDUAL

(PEMBROKE, ON) - A wanted individual is now in custody after being arrested in the City of Pembroke.
On the afternoon of April 24, 2026, members of the Renfrew County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and arrested a wanted individual at a residence on Pembroke Street East. The arrest was made with the assistance of the Offender Management Apprehension Program (OMAP) unit and patrol officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP. The accused was wanted for the theft of a motor vehicle in Pembroke in September 2025. Police seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs and over $4500 cash during the arrest.
As a result of this incident 38-year-old Brady TURCOTTE of Pembroke is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Xanax
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - ketamine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 - two counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 30, 2026.
