DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

(PEMBROKE, ON.) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver after a traffic stop in the City of Pembroke.
On October 4, 2025, just before 10:00 pm, OPP officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle was stopped in a parking lot in the downtown area of Pembroke. The driver was transported to detachment for testing
Benjamin MARTIN, 18 years old, of Petawawa was charged with impaired operation.
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 4, 2025.
